Predictions
As the Asia Cup 2022 draws nearer, more and more predictions are being made regarding which teams are in with a chance of winning. While it will be interesting to see which nations come out on top, given their current stature in the world’s cricket scene, there is no sure-fire way to predict the eventual champions.
However, given the strong records of some teams over recent years, a few nations have emerged as likely contenders for victory come March 2022. India and Pakistan have long been historical neighbors and fierce rivals on the cricket field – and with captain Virat Kohli in top form, India look well set to pick up where they left off when they won the 2018 edition of this tournament.
A similar list can also be made of otherplayers – Bangladesh look formidable lead by their wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim while Sri Lanka could surprise us if they make consistent performances throughout their campaign. Australia also stands a good chance as they are one of cricket’s most decorated sides with a lot at stake when it comes to maintaining or growing their reputation.
In conclusion, predicting an Asia Cup winner is a difficult task but if past results are anything to go by things could become clearer on March 22nd when we’ll know for sure who has lifted this prestigious trophy!
